Before any card payment

One credit.
Clear conditions.

Eligible listings in our own portfolio offer a card prepayment credited once toward the purchase price: USD $199 for Buy Now, or up to $199 for lease-to-own. Availability is shown in checkout. The separate private test charges no real money and holds no domain.

Review the terms before authorizing your card.

An eligible checkout first requests a temporary card authorization for the amount shown. After authorization, verify your email and select Verify email & pay to collect that amount and start the seven-day reservation. Other listings continue through their displayed Escrow.com flow.

One prepayment, one credit

Buy Now prepayment is USD $199. Lease-to-own prepayment is the smaller of $199 or half the first scheduled instalment, rounded down to the nearest cent. The exact amount is shown before authorization. It is part of the purchase price, not an extra fee.

For lease-to-own, the prepayment reduces only the first instalment sent to Escrow.com. All later instalments and the agreed purchase total remain unchanged. For example, a $5,000 first instalment becomes $199 by card plus $4,801 through Escrow. The seller pays Escrow and domain-holding fees from proceeds; those fees are not added to the buyer’s instalments.

For a $49,999 Buy Now purchase: $199 paid by card, $49,800 remaining through Escrow.com. Provider-fee allocation is shown before confirmation.

Temporary card authorization

Authorize the displayed amount on the secure Stripe card form, then enter the email code on this same checkout page. Select Verify email & pay only when ready to collect that amount. The verification deadline is shown in checkout and is at most ten minutes after the authorization is confirmed. If verification is not completed in that window, or you cancel the card hold, we request cancellation of the original authorization without collecting the payment. Banks may display a temporary authorization like a charge and may take additional time to release it. Contact support if the original result remains unclear; do not start a replacement payment.

Seven-day hold

The seven-day domain hold begins only after the card payment is confirmed and the domain is successfully reserved. A temporary card authorization is not a collected payment or a seven-day domain reservation. Its exact UTC expiry will be shown in the confirmation. It lasts seven calendar days while the buyer completes Escrow.com verification and arranges the remaining Buy Now balance or the first LTO instalment. Later LTO instalments follow the agreed monthly schedule. It does not promise that the domain transfer will finish in seven days.

If Escrow confirms funding is underway or secured, we will review the transaction before releasing the hold. A browser return or an unverified statement that money was sent is not enough. We will not automatically release a domain with a confirmed funded transaction.

If you cancel

Once your payment is confirmed and the domain is reserved, the collected reservation payment is nonrefundable if you cancel or choose not to proceed within the seven-day hold. This does not limit any refund rights required by applicable law.

Seller or service cannot perform

If the seller or Name.si cannot complete the agreed purchase, including when we cannot establish the paid reservation, you receive a full refund of the card prepayment to the original payment method. No processing fee is deducted from that refund. A failed or duplicate card charge is not a second reservation.

Requesting help or a refund

Email hello@name.si with the domain and payment reference. We will investigate the original payment before requesting a retry. Refund appearance depends on the bank and payment provider; no instant credit is promised. Money paid into Escrow.com is governed by its own agreement and refund process.
